Water as a Morning Routine

The first thing I do after getting out of bed is make a warm cup of lemon honey water & drink it while I make my (smaller cup of) coffee, finish the water prior to drinking my coffee and immediately after finishing the water refill the cup and drink another cup of water with my coffee.

I usually also try to drink water before ingesting food.

Water first to rehydrate and kick start the metabolism.

Also, having a routine helps me set up my day and get it going.  It's been going great for the past couple of weeks. I can't say anything has changed drastically in my life but as far as having or maintaining a "morning routine" it's a pretty easy task that I look forward to because drinking water is awesome (coffee is a bonus!).

Fitness Struggles- I used to be athletic-ish.

I watched a video on Facebook and I'll admit I was inspired by this skinny girl who made a video of herself doing 100 push-ups for 100 days because she was tired of people calling her "scrawny." I thought that was inspiring and also, hey! I can do push-ups. So, I thought I'd give it a try.

To my absolute horror and dismay, it took me 41:53 to accomplish 100 push-ups. Just for some point of reference, I used to be able to do 3 sets of 20 push-ups no problem at M-1 as a part of the conditioning portion of class which came at the very end of class, after the technique/drill part of class. Now it takes me basically 42 minutes to do 100 push-ups and my last 10 push-ups were so ugly, terrible form, even being considered "push-ups" was just me having pity on myself.

After this "workout" I slept for I don't know, 15 hours, probably because my body was in total shock and on high alert trying to repair all the muscle fibers I just destroyed. When I finally dragged myself out of bed my shoulders, pecs, triceps, lats, and upper abs were sore, like I had done a hard workout sore.

Yo, shit got real, a wake-up call if you will. I've lost so much muscle, endurance, and cardio in the past year-ish the thought of getting back into shape is daunting. I had never given it much thought before because it happened so naturally, go to Muay Thai, go to Jiu Jitsu, surf, run, go to the UFC gym and play with the gym equipment/machines or other weird stuff they have there, try to submit my best friends, try not to get submitted by my best friends, hit pads, hit more pads, spar, run with Ash, so many options.

Being in SF is hard man, it's cold here, my O'ahu Grown blood has not acclimated to this weather. I don't know if it's just me but I find it even more difficult to motivate myself to workout when it's cold. I'd rather cuddle and stay cozy in bed.

Anyway, this was not supposed to be a rant. The day after I did 100 push-ups there was no way I could bring myself to do another 100, my body was reeling in pain. The second day after doing 100 push-ups I did 10 pull-ups [maybe I'll change it up instead]. Nope. Nope. Nope. Body still sore, probably shouldn't have done that, gave myself tennis elbow, I guess lifting my 116lb body full of chub without muscle isn't a very easy task. Maybe today I'll try another 100 push-ups. I think I'm modifying what that girl did, I'll do 100 push-ups 100 times but probably not on consecutive days, I'm not sure if that defeats the purpose of the exercise but I'll take it as an accomplishment when I get there and hopefully be in better shape.

The Sea Can Have Me

We draw inspiration from many different things, many things, people, anything. Derek said to me, 'do you know why I like museums? I like them because as a programmer everyone talks about basic or elementary AI but computers will never feel. I like coming to museums because I like to see people's creativity. Humans are creative, they draw inspiration from many things, computers will never have a conscious, they'll never be as creative as humans.'

I just watched "The Finest Hour" and I have become inspired- all I could think about while watching that movie is that the sea can have me.  My heart truly belongs to the sea. The sea is a great provider, she can sustain and she can destroy just as easily. I don't know if I owe her but I love her dearly, if she wants me, I will succumb to her will. I find it funny that now my life is in the air but my heart will always be at sea-level or below.

As an avid surfer, as a passionate surfer, as a dedicated surfer, we understand and accept the nature of the beast. She does what she will, as she pleases. If she desires you, she will take you, one way or another by way of undertow, rouge wave, coral that she grows, caves that she shapes, she will have you one way or another.

After thirty years, a young and fast thirty years I've been blessed with the discovery and understanding of passion. True passion is doing something you wouldn't mind dying for. If I die on the mat, if I die in the ring, if I die in the sea, so shall it be for these are the things worth living for. Living in the sky is quickly becoming another passion.

They say, if you love what you do, you'll never work a day in your life. I always believed but was skeptical that I would be lucky enough to experience it.  I think I found my place. My place in the air waves of the sky.  To love the sea and the sky, I don't know if many are that fortunate to experience such a feeling. Sadly, the only thing I've yet to love is the land. I love the 'āina, surrounded by the Pacific. I love San Francisco the Bay Area, surrounded on three sides by the Pacific. She is my queen, call me a pagan, call me a hopeless romantic, call me a dreamer or daydream believer,  call me what you will but true love, you can never take that away from someone and it is all mine to share with you, with my friends, with my family, with the world.  I want to see it all, I want to live it all.

I want to be a mermaid, or a honu, or a baby beluga in the deep blue sea, an 'opihi glued to the rocks enjoy the ever crashing waves, or even manō, send me away & return my heart to the ocean for that is where it belongs. Plant half of me on land so I can still be with the ones I love who are still attached to the 'āina but let me grow into a beautiful flowering plant- pikake is my favorite but I find joy in plumeria trees, however tuberose and gardenia scents are beautiful as well or let me grow as a providing fruit tree whether it be a big beautiful mango tree where the keiki can climb and enjoy on a hot day or a lychee tree atop the cooler mountain sides so only the most adventurous will seek my company.  Maybe as a tree, rooted in land I shall find love in my next life for her. All I ask is that you return my heart to the sea.

"LOL M*therf*ckers" -Nate Diaz (Chael Sonnen Interview)

Love Nathan Diaz so much, he's hilarious. I love that he's been doing so much press lately & thank you YouTube for always recommending the newest Nate Diaz interview.  He is definitely up there with Mason Ho. I'm such a fan of their interviews, who knows what they'll say next.

Thanks JRE ^_^

I listened to this Podcast today & Kron <3<3<3
He's so mellow, I think it's the way he speaks, so calm and steady.

Usually, the JRE Podcasts I find myself listening to are hilarious & fun especially with Eddie Bravo & I enjoy them but dang Kron Gracie.  I would listen to this Podcast again and just skip over Joe Rogan's parts haha just joking.

"Thanks Buddy." -Ice Cream Kron

PS: I also listened to the JRE Podcast with Eddie Bravo and Rickson Gracie, it was super duper awesome, as much as Rickson didn't want to keep talking about the past Joe and Eddie still got some great stories out of him. The thing I noticed when Rickson was telling his stories was that it was absolutely silent, I turned my volume up to listen to Rickson and what I found was that he was crystal clear it was like Joe Rogan and Eddie Bravo's microphones were turned off but they were just as or even more captivated than I was and they were listening so intently you could almost feel it through the video, so awesome.  Hespect! and so much reverence for Rickson Gracie.

Advice to Myself- International Women's Day March 8, 2016

Be bold.
Embrace your weirdness.
Be kind.
Love fiercely, like you've never been hurt before.
Know your worth.
You don't need to be fearless, just courageous enough to face your fears.
Don't shy away from challenges- accept them & meet them with a good attitude and a smile.
Smile often.
Laugh wholeheartedly.
Keep your heart open.
Do not accept less than you deserve and you deserve to be treated well.
Do not accept a few sweet words & a charming tongue when actions do not match.
Be a fucking boss.
Be inspired.
Forget what everyone thinks.
Real friends are honest and will build you up- sometimes the truth hurts and they will tell it to you, it might hurt, you might cry, but they will be there to hold you or put a hand on your shoulder until the tears dry and wait until you realize you're being a fucking idiot, most importantly they won't judge you for it.
Tread lightly when it comes to another's feelings.
Don't judge.
Just live.
It's okay when someone describes you as sweet, it is not a sign of weakness.

Good Talk- Gems

This is a totally cheat entry but I am inspired to share the gems of wisdom my friend drops on me during the times that I have little to no grasp on my life whatsoever. I'm sure you'll be able to ascertain the gist of the conversation based on context so...

He texted me, "Enjoy this status while you can.  You may think it's a bad thing but better you learn lessons now than later." To which I replied, "Ok, I'll try not to freak out that I'm getting older." First gem of wisdom, "Everyone is getting older.  And [it] just so happens everyone who got married is getting divorced, so if you time it right everyone will be single soon :)." I'm not sure if you could imagine my reaction but I literally laughed-out-loud and said "thanks." I said "thanks," OUT LOUD, TO MY PHONE.

So he's either dropping gems on the regular or he's Confucius in disguise because his next text was in reference to my admitted hangover...

"Drink with broke heart can lead to broke face."
 -DS

He's the best- I don't think I could master the art of simultaneously acknowledging a situation and its gravity, completely empathizing, while putting its seriousness in perspective (c'mon kid it's not that bad) & providing insight in such a humorous way. That description was probably way too complicated & doesn't do it justice at all but what I do know is that I am very grateful.

Tangent
I seriously lucked out, one day about five years ago I showed up and said, "hey, could you teach me jiu jitsu?" & he [& his bro] haven't been able to get rid of me since, lol.

I'm pretty sure this is my anthem, I've been hearing this song on Star 101.9 for a while now & fell in love <3<3<3.  Today, I watched the video...and it's amazing.  Reminiscent of the music videos I used to watch when I was a kid- '90s in the hizzy.

12/13/14 Wedding Gig plus video

I told Monica I would send her this video a couple months ago (sorry chicka) but I finally threw a couple of the clips together! Thanks to my sistah Misty for filming ^_^

Man, you guys should hear the actual beginning to this version of A Thousand Years, there's cello melody & with the right cellist it would be absolutely bomb!  We didn't have enough rehearsal time & I wasn't confident enough to attempt the melody, the last thing I would have wanted was to mess up while Monica's sister was walking down the aisle...yikes!

I think I cry or at least tear up at every wedding we play at and most of the times I don't even personally know the people being married. The speeches the pastors give about marriage & sharing a life with someone else & sticking it out through the tough times, knowing & trusting that the person standing across from you will always be on your side, always be that one person in your corner you can lean on when the world gets dark. Oh, and the vows shared, promising their other-half undying love & a forever future, it's just so sweet, it pulls on my heart strings.

Anyway, I can't help it. Love man, love. Part of me believes every word they say to each other. And I like how the pastor makes all the guests/witnesses accountable too, if all the people at the weddings supported the newly wed couple & made it their responsibilities that the two people try hard for their other-half I think there would be less divorce, but that's just me.

Recently, one of my friends was having a rocky time in their relationship & I felt bad because I think they're a great couple who compliment each other well, they are sweet to each other, & I've seen nothing but admiration & respect coming from each of them towards the other.  They were having difficulties communicating with each other during a stressful time, so if things didn't work itself out, I was going to invite them both to a movie  without telling the other & leave when they both showed up. Set 'um up on a blind date heh heh I thought it would be a good plan, but being the great couple they are, things worked out for the best, yay!

K here's the vid...ENJOY! This was also my first time wearing a tie, cool beans! Sorry, I didn't have a royal blue performance dress laying around lol.

Thanks for sharing this Surf News Network.

I love laying back & watching the clouds roll by, it's the same feeling I get when I'm playing in the shore break & swimming under a wave. When you aim for that open space between the sand & the undertow, sometimes a small window but you know if you get your head into that puka the rest of your body will follow & you'll pass beneath the wave unscathed.  Under the water you can watch the waves break & the white water pass over you, just like the clouds in this video. You can sit on the sand beneath the surf & observe the beautiful chaos of breaking waves from another perspective, sometimes when the waves get thick & heavy the white water is so dense it blocks out the sun and things go momentarily dark, soon the waves pass and the water calms and clears only to be disrupted in another way, coming alive again with the crashing of another set.

Nature man, nature. Always and always a drifter & dreamer. Surf & Love & Peace.

No one listens to Turtle!

Haleiwa 11/30/14

Shred so hard broke da stick lol RIPieces

Nah, it wasn't that big only like 2-3ft but I was sitting in the middle when a set wave came, turtled my board & buggah wen break in half, stringer and everything all bus. Luckily, I had my 5'2" fish in the car so I paddled back out. Snapped some pics, took my fins out, & gave it to some kid on the beach. I think I was most bummed about my Mitcho Kai sticker, love & miss you, brother.

One uncle on the beach said, "you could just say it was like 10ft..." Haha thanks, Uncle. Board was old, we had a good run, got the specs & shaper's phone number so I might get a replica plus double glass all around lol.

I'm actually pretty stoked, the first board I broke all the way in half!! At least it was on the North Shore!

Surfers, we're a different breed. Keep it real & stay weird guys.

Halloween 2014- Ghouls n' Gambling & Hulas!

After hearing the Savers commercial on the radio multiple times a day for what seemed like a month straight Misty & I finally had ourselves a look-see at their Halloween costumes. And we ended up being Crayons for Halloween 2014 I found a green aka Illuminating Emerald costume (big surprise, right?!) and Misty settled for pink aka Shimmering Blush since they were fresh out of yellow or orange.

On the Wednesday before Halloween we went to a Halloween costume/charity event- Ghouls n' Gambling sponsored by Elite Parking which was actually really fun, getting there was a trip because it was in the Cupola Theater in the Honolulu Design Center which I had never been to before, I had been to Amuse the wine bar and Stage the restaurant but I had no idea where this theatre was and I was pretty hesitant to go exploring the Honolulu Design Center in my crayon costume, especially since I wasn't actually sure if people would dress up for this event.

We found the theatre after minimal exploring and minimal stares while walking past normal-dressed people hanging out in Amuse.  Upon our arrival we were asked if we were +21 to which I replied, "yes, would you like to see our IDs?" and of course they didn't and slapped some wrists bands on us and pointed us through the entrance (man, gone are the days I'm 28 and slowly accepting the fact that I won't be carded anymore haha). When we get in there I see a craps table and I tell Misty, "ohh I want to play this!" to which she replies, "lets walk around a little & see what else there is."  So we take maybe 5 steps and she sees a roulette table and immediately stops and throws some [fake] money on the table.

So much for walking around, so I went off solo to find my co-workers & after I found them, I dragged one of them to the craps table with me while the other went to play Black Jack.  We were given $2,000.00 fake money which was super fun because we only had a couple hours to "gamble" before they closed the games and everyone was super nuts. There were $100 and $500 chips everywhere, $500 on everything!!  Hawaii people and gambling, I had a feeling everyone there either played backyard craps or frequented the 9th island aka Las Vegas.  It was a great event, there was so much excitement and noise, people were having a great time, the poor dealers couldn't handle our demands, they let as many people on the table as we could fit and whenever someone won it was just madness as they tried to pay out everyone but everyone kept pushing bets or re-betting, it was hilarious. At the end we redeemed our chips for raffle tickets and waited for the drawing.

We didn't win anything but it was a fun and eventful evening.  After the event Misty and I decided to grab food & we ended up at Zippys, I obviously hadn't thought this through because I planned to eat at the event (not spend all my time gambling) but neither of us had anything to eat at the event and I didn't bring a change of clothes to change into after so we showed up as Crayons.

Mom was still working when we drove into the Zippys parking lot so we called her to show her our costumes & took a selfie, she told my dad we are her 12-year-olds.

Ok, the first thing my mom said about our costumes after I showed her a picture when we tried them on at Savers was, "wow, that's kind of conservative huh?" and Misty, without skipping a beat said, "Auntie, we're getting old." Well conservative no matter, with a little hair and make-up magic they looked cute enough for me.

Halloween 2014- Misty wanted to experience the whole Waikiki thing, which is, if you don't already know an absolute shit-show, one that I had my fair share of seeing so I wasn't particularly stoked about walking through Waikiki but of course I did and we rallied with Adam.  My other-half opted out of celebrating Halloween, shucks I was so excited to pimp him out at Hulas too, "bebe, go get that guy to buy you a drink and give it to me." haha for another day, I suppose.

Adam picked us up from the apartment around 7-turtles and we went to Hale Vietnam to eat Pho before hitting the strip, then to Adams house in Waikiki, popped open some bubbly, used a few drag tricks to keep my thigh-high stockings up, took the most awkward picture of the evening which ended up being the best picture we could get of the three of us that night. We walked the strip where Adam aka freaking Waldo got shout-outs like no other, "I found you Waldo!", where there were no other crayons, and I did feel conservative in my with all the half and more than half naked people walking around, but also where any kids we passed loved our Crayon costumes, haha at least someone liked our costumes, we walked until Misty was satisfied then went to Hulas!!

We saw Edward Scissor-Hands on the strip and ended up behind him in the line into Hulas so we used the opportunity to snap a pic!  His costume was great!

Saw this Greaser aka Wally, he was walking the strip with his friend Juna and they came by Hulas so I went outside to say "Hi!"

OMG this guys' Troll costume took the cake for me, he had the jewel in the piko!  I didn't realize he was that ripped until I looked at the picture we took, poor guy- I made him take like 10 pictures because Adam couldn't work my phone camera and wasn't taking the picture the long ways to get his piko (the best part!) zomg Adam was photographer-fail that night lol but Purple Troll was super sweet about it cuz I was so stoked about his costume, I guess his bf didn't mind either cuz he was just waiting for him on the side while we stole him to take pictures.

It was like 10:30p or 11:00p when we decided to call it a night, Adam had to work the next morning, I was dawn patrolling, and we are just getting old haha.  Home before midnight, way to go team.  Scottie boo was going to pick Misty and me up from Waiks but Adam ended up driving us home and we stopped at McDonald's for some ice cream and fruit punch LOL.  I'm pretty sure we're not 28 - 30 years old.

Also pretty sure we dated ourselves on Halloween with the Crayola Crayon and Waldo costumes and trying to take a picture with the Troll guy, '90s kids much?  We brought it back.

I should post some pictures of us having epic Halloween parties in my garage when we were 8 - 10 year-olds, not much change except for our costumes- we were way too creative back when we were kids to have simple costumes and [possibly] store bought costumes like these.

Hope you had a fun Halloween too.

New Uemura Surfboards Single Fin

Single fin nation, whaaaat.   I picked up this bad boy from Kekoa Uemura a little more than few weeks ago (I know that's so specific, right -_^), I actually have no idea how long it took to shape either.  Usually, when I order boards they take 3-6 months (or longer) to be made so I order, then forget about it but this board took maybe about 6 weeks - 2 months which is speedy in my books.  Thanks Kekoa! Check out his website here- Uemura Surfboards

Specs: It says 9'0" on the board but I think it's probably like 9'2" cuz there's no way it fits in my board bag, which is all good with me because by Joel Tudor's Duct-tape Invitational rules the board has to be 9'2" haha the best classic longboarders surf in his contest but hey a girl can dream, can't she.

Ok, ok back to specs-
  • 9'0" x 2 3/4 x 23
  • 60/40 rails- not classic but good for responsive turning
  • Choke nose and tail rocker- very not classic but I love rocker so I'm stoked about it!
  • Fat square tail
  • Crazy concave under the tail, still working on where the fin works the best & also going to try a bunch of different fins I've got a standard 9" dolphin fin on there now, gonna get a little fatter 9.5" fin sometime and look into some other shapes & sized fins.
  • Double glass on the bottom I think double 6oz, next cruiser board I get will have double 6oz bottom double 4oz on top, the weight feels good man.
  • No leash plug...oh yeah.

I sent Koa this pic on the left for color referencing but I told him, "like this but BRIGHT! less pastel-y" the airbrushing came out PERFECT!  Scottie says it reminds him of a Push Pop (or something that sounded like push pop to me).  I love it.

Of course the first thing I did after picking up the board was go straight to Ben Franklin to get letter stickers, this seemingly small task ended up taking way too long (BECAUSE! the 3"/4"BLACK letter stickers were not with the rest of the stickers and glittery or polka-dotted 3" letter stickers, which I still don't even understand.)  Misty & I ended up spending about 30 minutes in the paint aisle as I settled on stenciling and painting "SURFSHINE" on my board as an alternative to the stickers (after a 15 minute tour of the store seeking out the stencils.) We spent the majority of those 30 minutes Google-ing "how to paint a surfboard" & I am unable to spray paint in my apartment so that was out of the question, and after many unsuccessful Google attempts as Ben Franklin does not sell POSCA pens which seems to be the 2nd most popular option to paint a surfboard I finally realized I should have Google'd "how to paint fiberglass" duh Kim anyway when I finally grabbed my acrylic paint and a clear coat to boot we were on to brushes when I passed this stand alone rack with what-do-you-know 3" and 4" black letters, no shit.  Misty immediately instructed me to drop the paint crap I grabbed and pick-up some 4" sticker letters- I figured go big or go home, right?

I ended-up with awesome sticker letters and happened to see a cute stencil that I thought would look dope on my board and figured I would just Sharpie it, Misty kept insisting that I needed a fine-point Sharpie which I was adamantly arguing against because to me I thought the fine-point with less surface area and would take a lot longer to do, so stubborn me, I did not purchase a fine-point for this endeavor.  Once I started Sharpie-ing the stencil I realized that Sharpies freaking bleed, I was getting black ink everywhere but in the stencil only area, disaster.  Misty had fallen asleep at this time after she helped me put the letters on my board (sorry I didn't take a picture of the top of my board to show you guys but I'm sure you'll see it eventually) and I was royally f*cking up my board with this stencil idea, Misty also had a fine-point Sharpie of her own that I ended up borrowing to do most of the stenciling because as it turns out the fine-point bled the least.

I show you this picture below and you're thinking so where are all the f*cked up parts, well originally I was going to get sand paper and gently sand the mistakes away but before I started unnecessarily sanding the double 6oz fiberglass I had just paid for I Google'd "how to remove Sharpie from a surfboard" and apparently non-acetone nail polish remover is magic, supposed "permanent" Sharpie on a surfboard is like a dry erase board, buggah comes right off.  Non-acetone is important as it shouldn't damage/wear the fiberglass as the regular acetone nail polish will weaken the glass.

I could probably write another 2 pages on how it rides but I'll spare you (for now) the pic below is from my second sesh on my new log, airing out my toes, he's a real cruiser.  The only other sticker I have on my board is for Mitcho Kai (rest in paradise, brother), like the placement on my Green Tatsuno, when I'm on the board it's on my left-side close to my heart, right where he'll be for always.

Didn't have any extra GoPro mounts when I got this board but I got one from Greg so I should be running a front camera soon.

xoxo & always Weirdly yours,

Perception- The Owl & the Hummingbird

My sis from Waikele-hood and current roomie, Misty was visiting her mainland home this past summer before she came back to the island and brought back with her some sort of realization of a projection of us in bird form.

Let me just start with this fact, she likes birds and so I'm assuming this is why the projection has come in bird-form instead of mythical creature, pokemon, ninja turtle (my personal fave) or patronus form.  No idea how we started talking about this but I never know how we get into any of our conversations but she ended up telling me that her equivalent in bird form would be an owl and mine would be a hummingbird.  Which I thought was cool..., then she continued with her rationalization- that owls are actually huge and when she thinks of them she thinks of them perched on branches (as she tells me this story from the comfort of her recliner chair where she was currently posted) and hummingbirds are very small and always in motion.

I'm pretty sure I found this conversation unusually amusing and I think I recall laughing, I probably laughed so hard I gave myself short-term memory loss. Which would explain why I can't remember how I actually felt hearing this for the first time, and I'm still not sure how I feel about it but it has been the running topic of inside jokes between us.

I thought it would be fun to show this similitude via pictures (thanks Google images).

How Misty sees us...
Not exactly sure if she described herself as a "great owl" but she definitely requested an owl w/ "a tasty morsel in it's beak." *gross

And this is how she sees me, tiny. Just tiny.

So according to Misty, this is what we would look like in a picture together.

If I had to describe us using her preferences...

How I see Misty...

This is the look she gives me when she describes things to me, "you know that song they've been playing on the radio? The marry me one? Sounds like it's from a band here?"
K: Rude by Magic?
M: No the other one that sounds local...[see pic below]

Misty, I still have no idea what song you're talking about.

Or, "I like the craft fairs they have in town better" (while we are driving through town)

K: where in town? What part of town? WE ARE IN TOWN NOW (x_x)
M: the other side of town
K: ...
M: [see pic below]

Like this owl, Mist hates getting her face wet.

Recently, I've spent quite a bit of time with this girl and one thing if anything is apparent, she thinks I am a very small person I wouldn't even be surprised if she described me as "kiddie-sized" and of course this is definitely not how I perceive myself.  I always tell her I think I'm gigantic, huge, gargantuan, half seriously, but most of the time I'm serious and she wonders how I could ever see myself as a gigantic person & I will demonstrate how I would describe myself in hummingbird form.

Seeing a hummingbird by itself you have no idea the actual size of these buggahs relative to anything so here I am, "yeah I'm flying, I'm colorful, I'm beautiful & I'm hungry! Going to get me some sweet sustenance in my outrageous pants suit.... Check it out, guys."

Here's another of me, loving being a mean green machine.

I met Misty when I was 7 & she was 8, I'm pretty sure nothing has changed since then, where did all the time go we are two 8 year-olds stuck in big (large, very large) adult bodies...help!

Great Owl & the biggest f*cking hummingbird you ever did see riding the Swings at some fair in HK 2014

Surf Video Time!

Aloha kakahiaka,

No matter what else I do in life, start, or get into, strip it all back, & surfing is where my heart is.  The best time of the day is neither morning nor night, it's any time that there is a surf sesh or sex but I definitely surf more than I get laid [insert sadface] but they're both still equally the best parts of life...food is up there but surfing takes the cake! [pun fully intended]

I've been working like a mad woman (honestly!) sitting at my desk for 8+ hours a day which is the pits, I don't mind what I do but it's hard keeping my mind from straying, I seriously need to run- my other-half and I have a race this coming Sunday, a 20k at that! Eep!  And I'm not sure when it happened but I've been fascinated with body building & physique not that I necessarily want to get into the sport but I find these human beings/anatomy charts to be attractive, appealing, and visually intriguing, combine that with my new thrill lifting weights & I'm pretty sure you've got one more newbie on the supplement & body building trend wagon.  Can't wait to show you all the goodies I just ordered, I'm hoping all aspects of my active lifestyle will hold hands and support each other.

I've also got a new Uemura Surfboards 9'1" Single-fin Cruiser coming in, I was calling the board "Kind of Classic" but after talking ideas w/ Kekoa Uemura it ended up hardly classic at all and I had to drop the catch phrase.  I wanted an old school- inspired by Joel Tudor's Duct-tape Invitational type rules shape but I decided against the 50/50 rails and some other details but hey if it surfs well I'll be stoked.  I've kind of self-dubbed it a "concept board" because of the contours I asked for in my tail but it's hardly conceptual compared to asymmetric boards and things like that but for a Classic longboard it's a conceptual contour that even Kekoa has no idea how it will ride, pretty stoked to be trying some new design, hopefully it works if not, oh well I better adjust my surfing cuz I'm hoping this board lasts me at least 4 years.  My Tatsuno is going downhill fast [tear] I'm definitely thinking about calling him for another performance board but I think my roomie and bf would not be so stoked on two brand new longboards... can you ever have too many boards in your quiver?!  Nahhhhhhhhh.

Ok gotta go back to the part of life that lets me buy my surfboards...work.  Hope you enjoy the video, LOL to the one random part in the middle of this thing- wtf happened Windows Movie Maker?!  I'm far to lazy to fix, save, and upload the same video because of one minor part so enjoy the accidental artistry :)
